logo design services provided by Goldman Design
Most logos
look pretty simple, but logo development is an enlightening experience that
provides as much challenge for me as it does for the key client stakeholders
in pinpointing the exact message they want their logo to convey.
the logo design process
- Talk with the client about their company mission, clients/users/audience
and their philosophy.
- Generate what could be dozens black and white sketches. These sketches
are presented and discussed from all appropriate points of view, and
taken to outside focus groups if necessary.
- One sketch is chosen to develop into a series of color comps
that can vary within the chosen feel. Again, these sketches are presented
and discussed from all appropriate points of view, and taken to outside
focus groups if necessary.
- One comp is chosen and refined further and reviewed
again.
- The final chosen color comp approved by the client then rendered in
the necessary postscript file formats.
what I look for in great logos
- Does the look and metaphor capture the spirit of the company?
- Does the look and metaphor capture the culture of your customers?
- Is the look and metaphor unique?
- Does it look great in black and white and in color?
- Is it easily readable and identifiable on downgraded fax transmissions
or other low resolution media?
